You say sizing was generous please advise how to get the right size?

Previously the sizing of the Classic unisex boots has always fitted large on women, we have amended the sizing to be true to size. Please now select your UK shoe size. See individual sizing guides for calf widths and heights

Please do refer to the size charts for more advice.

Does this apply to men?

No men usually take their normal UK size perhaps do down if a half size.

Does this sizing apply to all the styles of boots?

Yes to the unisex style boots, apart from the Cordonera, Brogues (shoes & boots) and Childrens Riding Boots. Select your normal UK size – refer to individual size charts.

Can you supply half sizes?

No they don’t make half sizes.

Do you offer a wide calf fitting?

Yes see the Spanish Riding Boot wide calf collection or order a bespoke for any style in a fuller calf.

Do you offer a narrow calf fitting?

Not in all styles but we offer a made to measure service

Why do I need to supply a foot size for Made to Measure?

The foot bed on made to measure is a standard size the rest of the foot and leg measurements are made to your exact measurements. Use the same principals as explain above and in the size chart for determining your foot size.

Why do I need to measure on a bare leg for boots?

This is because they make a 1.5cm allowance.

Why do I need to take the height measurement at the same point as the circumference?

These measurements need to correspond to get the shape of the boot right for your leg

How is it best to get the right height measurement?

You perhaps need to stand and measure up the back of your leg from the floor and select where it is comfortable to still be able to sit down. You need to be able to bend your leg in order to ride or drive in your boots.

Why do I need to measure polainas/half chaps over a jodhpur?

Because the factory have a different allowance for the half chaps.

What happens if I get my measurements wrong?

We advise you get someone to check your measurements as made to measure items are non-refundable - see relevant T&C’s

What happens if they arrive and they don’t fit but I am confident my measurements are correct?

We consider each matter on an individual basis and try to ascertain where the problem has occurred and resolve the matter satisfactorily.

How long does it take to get my made to measure item?

We aim for 8-10 weeks but can take 12 weeks at busy periods. We aim to keep you informed of any delays

Can I order a variation of the boots you sell on the website e.g. different sole

Yes you can but then this is classed as a bespoke made item and can no longer be exchanged or refunded – see relevant T&C’s

If I do order an item that isn’t in stock how long does it take to be delivered?

We aim for 8-10 weeks and we aim to keep you informed of any delays.

How much do you charge for UK shipping?

Standard UK shipping is free and takes 3-5 working days generally 2-3 days. You can pay for Next Day and Saturday delivery – see Shipping and Returns

How much do you charge for International Shipping?

See Overseas Shipping information. Delivery times can vary.

Do you pay to return an item?

We are unable to cover return postage at the moment we do recommend using Collect+ or Royal Mail Click and Drop (Tracked 48) as this is the cheapest way to return boots – see Shipping and Returns

Who pays for exchange postage?

We send replacements out free of charge in the UK once the item has been returned.

Do you pay to return items from overseas?

No you need to cover return and exchange postage as an overseas customer – see Overseas Information

My item is faulty do you pay for it to be collected?

Yes we will arrange a collection, please contact us directly

How long do I have to return an item for a refund?

90 days for a standard stock item returned in unused condition and original packaging. There are different conditions for tailor made order items and made to measure – see relevant T&C’s

Do you have an extended returns period over Christmas?

Yes we do details on website

Do you have any stockist where I can try on?

Yes we have a list of stockists – see here – probably best to check they have the style you are looking of as they might not hold everything

Do you have a shop?

No but you can come and see us by appointment – see contact us page

Do you attend any events?

Yes we have a list of event we attend on the website – see here

Do your boots have a goodyear welted sole?

Yes they do with a sustainable integral cork layer which breathable and to aid  ergonomic and anatomical support

Are your boots made in Spain?

Yes in Southern Spain

 Do you offer a re-soling/repairs service?

No we don’t but a good cobbler should be able to help

Do you have a guarantee?

We guarantee our boot range and jackets for a one year manufacturing guarantee - see T&C's
